Hi Kevin and Ursula!
I hope y’all enjoyed your trip around China and Tibet, and I can’t wait to hear all about it on one of the podcasts.
Kevin, I don’t know if you realize, but Augusta is the 3rd academic librarian you’ve interviewed, and all three of us have ADHD and we all use different ways of staying organized. I found that connection quite interesting.
Not to sound like a jerk, but I never brought up my diagnosis when I was interviewed because I’ve learned to live with it and don’t think about it too much anymore. I was medicated when I was a kid, but that’s a story for another time….lots of red flags and ranting.
I felt for Ernie when he started whining. My parents’ pocket beagle does that and my heart went out to Ernie.
In regards to the salary issue, and the disconnect about means and ranges…honey, you’re preaching to the choir! I teach a Career Exploration class for our First Year Experience students, and I emphasize what a Salary Mean is and what a Salary Range is.
Glad you’re back safe and sound! ~Cori
